Our Programs

“The hands are the instruments of man’s intelligence. The child needs to manipulate objects and to gain experience by touching and handling.”

– Dr. Maria Montessori

At the heart of our approach is Dr. Montessori’s belief that children are curious by nature and have an innate drive for purposeful activity and self-guided discovery as they strive to adapt to their surroundings.

Through our carefully implemented curriculum at Little Brook Montessori, your child will explore a dynamic world of hands-on learning — all at their own pace.

They will develop practical life skills and refine their sensory awareness – the shared cornerstone of a true Montessori curriculum – while also engaging in lessons across language, math, art, science, music, geography, and cultural studies.

A Montessori education promotes the opportunity for young children to experience self-satisfaction in learning, and to build self-confidence while doing so. They also begin to develop critical thinking skills which they are able to refine as their educational journey continues.

Toddler 2’s Program

Inspired by Dr. Montessori’s view of young children as natural explorers, this warm and thoughtfully prepared classroom supports language development, social emotional learning, independence, and self-esteem. We offer activities that spark your child’s curiosity while building motor skills, concentration, and sense of order — laying the foundation for future learning.

Children also explore the "Grace and Courtesy" curriculum to develop social skills, forge friendships and navigate the intricacies of relationships outside of their family unit. Our program is designed to teach children to respect and care for themselves, their classmates, and their environment — lessons that are reinforced throughout your child’s journey through Little Brook Montessori.

In this joyful space, children are often seen working independently, engaging with peers, or receiving personalized lessons, reflecting the Montessori Method’s focus on self-directed learning.

3-6 Primary Program

We share Dr. Montessori’s deep understanding that children are innately motivated to engage in meaningful activities and explore through self-directed learning.

Guided by certified Montessori teachers who are trained to scientifically observe each child, this environment provides a space where children can freely pursue their work, supporting their holistic development and adaptation to the world around them.

In our 3-6 classroom, children come together in a mixed-age setting, reflecting Dr. Montessori’s philosophy that this dynamic mirrors family life and encourages natural interactions across age groups. This purposeful arrangement is the hallmark tenet of a Montessori Classroom as this structure fosters social, emotional, and cognitive growth, benefiting both younger and older children.

Before & After Care

We support our community of working families with early drop-off at 8:00 AM and an engaging after-school program until 5:30 PM.

During these fun-filled, well supervised hours, your child will enjoy a safe and relaxing environment where they can enjoy unstructured play on the playground or indoor play space, explore movement through music, dance, and yoga, or unwind with calm activities such as reading and arts & crafts.

Our before- and after-care programs are offered on either a contractual or as-needed basis.

We understand that unforeseen events can impact your child’s school schedule, and we are flexible in working with our families to ensure a seamless transition from home to school and back again.
